A neighbourhood kiryana, online
Haji Rafiq General Store is a family-run kiryana and general store on Main Bazar in Peoples Colony No. 1, Faisalabad. It is the kind of shop most households in the mohalla already know: atta, cheeni, daal, rice, chai patti, ghee and oil, masala, biscuits and cold drinks, soap, detergent and the small household things you run out of at the worst moment.
This website is the same shop, open on your phone. It does not replace the counter. You can still walk in, ask for what you need and chat while it is weighed. The site is for the days when you would rather send a list and have it brought to your door, or pick it up ready-packed on your way home.
How does online ordering work?
The site runs on the same SmartPOS Hub point-of-sale system the shop uses at the till. That matters for three reasons:
- Prices are the counter prices. When a rate changes at the shop, it changes on the site.
- Stock is real. If the last bag of a brand has been sold over the counter, the site shows it as out of stock instead of letting you order it.
- Your order lands at the counter. It is packed by the same people who serve walk-in customers.
To order, browse the shop, add what you need to your cart, choose delivery or pickup, pick a time slot and confirm. Delivery fee, minimum order and available slots are shown at checkout, because they come live from the shop’s system and can change with the day.
Loose items are weighed when we pack
A lot of kiryana shopping is loose: daal, chawal, cheeni, besan, dry fruit. Online, you choose the weight you want and the item is weighed on the shop scale when your order is packed, not in advance. If a bag turns out short when you check it, tell us and it is re-weighed and the difference is sent with your next delivery.
Dates are checked before anything goes in the bag
Packaged goods are picked with the expiry date in view. If something reaches you close to or past its date, hand it back at the door. There is no argument about it, and you do not pay for it.
Delivery in 2-hour slots, or pickup at the counter
Delivery covers Peoples Colony No. 1 and the nearby blocks. You choose a 2-hour slot at checkout so you know roughly when the rider will arrive, rather than waiting all day. If you prefer, choose pickup and collect your packed order from the counter. Full details are on the delivery page, and the shop’s address, hours and map are on the store page.
Wapsi at the door
The simplest return policy is the one that happens before you pay. When the rider arrives, open the bag and check it. Anything torn, leaking, expired or simply not what you ordered goes straight back with the rider and is taken off your bill. If you notice a problem later, send the shop a photo on WhatsApp within 24 hours and the item is replaced on your next delivery. The full rules are on the returns policy.
Cash on delivery by default
Most of our customers pay cash when the bag arrives, and that is the default. If the shop has enabled bank or mobile-wallet transfer, it will appear as an option at checkout. The website never asks for or stores card details.
A list you can keep
Many households buy the same things every week or month. The saved shopping list lets you keep that list on your phone, tick off what you already have and add the rest to your cart in one go. It works without an account. If you do sign in, your past orders and addresses are kept so reordering is quicker.
Urdu and English
Everything on the site is available in Urdu and English. Switch language from the header at any time. In Urdu the layout reads right to left, and product names keep the words people actually use at the counter.
About this website
This website is a demonstration store built on SmartPOS Hub, the point-of-sale system the shop uses. It shows how a neighbourhood shop can take orders online from the same till it uses every day. Orders placed on this demo are not fulfilled.
